In simple terms, coding is when you create a list of instructions to tell a computer what to do. It’s important because all sorts of computers can now be found in practically everything we use, from the phones in our pockets to airplanes to dishwashers to video game consoles. If you can program computers and start to understand how they work, you can help create and repair all of those different things, now and in the future.
Guidelines for Success
Each child should work at their own computer with parents and other family members providing support.
This isn’t a race! These coding activities are self-guided and self-paced. Go as fast or slow as you’d like.
Have fun! Coding can be hard work, but it’s also highly creative and rewarding.
